ILLUCO LucoCAM IDC-1 is a digital camera for dermatoscopy that allows images from a dermatoscope to be displayed on a computer monitor in real time. The physician receives a large, detailed image of skin structures, making examination, photo documentation, and presentation of results to the patient during a consultation easier.
The camera provides a resolution of 3072 × 2048 pixels, allowing detailed visualization of the examined area and capturing clinical images for further monitoring. The USB 3.0 connection ensures stable image transmission without noticeable delay.
The proprietary LucoCAM DC software expands the capabilities of digital dermatoscopy: the physician can save patient images, compare them over time, measure the size of skin lesions, and add tags and clinical notes. This is particularly useful during follow-up examinations when it is necessary to assess changes in a lesion over time and have previous examination results readily available.
The camera controls are designed for convenient use directly during examination. A control wheel on the housing allows quick access to 3× digital magnification, while pressing the wheel enables photo documentation. The physician does not need to repeatedly interrupt the examination to use a mouse or keyboard. The camera weighs only 140 g, and its compact design does not place significant additional load on the dermatoscope during use.
Applications: dermatology, dermato-oncology, aesthetic medicine, digital dermatoscopy, photo documentation of skin lesions, monitoring changes over time, and maintaining a history of dermatoscopic examinations.
