Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) is an X-ray fluoroscopy technique used in interventional radiology to clearly visualize blood vessels within bone or soft tissue. Images are obtained using a contrast agent by subtracting a «pre-contrast image» (mask) from subsequent images taken after the contrast medium is introduced into the structure. This process gives the technique its name – «digital subtraction angiography.»
The image processing system supports digital zoom, edge and recursive filters, brightness and contrast adjustment, rotation, negative inversion, real-time data overlay, preset configurations, patient data registration, DICOM connectivity, print management with orientation and layout selection, preview, and sending of images to Windows.
