Surgical Robotic Microscope

BHS Technologies has developed a microscope that restores freedom to surgeons. RoboticScope combines the concept of a traditional microscope with the advantages of an entirely new digital system.

This is a revolutionary medical device in the field of digital surgical microscopy. It features fully robotic head-controlled operation, providing surgeons with the freedom to choose the optimal working position that meets their individual ergonomic needs.

The Head-Mounted Display (HMD) is the primary control device for the BHS RoboticScope. Positioned directly in front of the surgeon's eyes, the HMD is equipped with two digital microdisplays that provide a real-time 3D image of the surgical field.

It also serves as the main interface for controlling the robotic system, camera, and all essential functions of the RoboticScope. Using intuitive head movements, the surgeon can effortlessly operate the robotic system without taking their hands off the surgical field. The system allows seamless switching between microscopic and macroscopic procedures with a simple nod.

Head gesture control is a feature that distinguishes RoboticScope from conventional surgical microscopes. By raising, lowering, or tilting the head left or right, surgeons can adjust all settings and functions, directing the movement and speed of the microscope. This enables them to change perspectives easily without losing focus on the surgical field.


Effortless Angle Selection. With a 6-axis robotic manipulator and ±0.03 mm precision, the camera module can be accurately positioned, offering maximum freedom in choosing viewing angles. Switching to different perspectives and extreme viewing angles is possible without altering the surgeon's vertical and comfortable posture. This allows surgeons to achieve the ideal angle required for the procedure with ease. 


The RoboticScope surgical microscope is designed for various surgical procedures and can be used in operating rooms across multiple disciplines, including ENT surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery.

Examples of use in ENT surgery: cochlear implantation, mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty/myringoplasty, parotidectomy.
Examples of use in plastic surgery: various flap transplantations (microanastomoses).
Examples of use in neurosurgery: lumbar (micro) decompressions, removal of superficial tumors.
