Dermatoscopy is a
vital step in the diagnosis of skin lesions, allowing for the early detection
of potentially dangerous changes. However, the accuracy of the diagnosis
directly depends on the equipment used by the physician. This is why medical
professionals strive to choose the best tools that ensure precision and ease of
use.
At the “Dermatoscopy in a Bomb Shelter” event, held on February 23, 2025, and organized by Svitlana
Dyachuk as part of a dermatologists’ professional development program, the
company Loran presented its modern dermatoscopy equipment. Participants had the
opportunity to personally test dermatoscopes and explore diode lasers,
cryosurgical devices, and radiofrequency surgical equipment.

shared their personal experience using Loran’s dermatology tools in clinical
practice.
What do doctors
choose?
One of the standout
devices, highly praised by participants, was the ILLUCO IDS-1100 dermatoscope.
This device is recognized for its high-quality optics, 10x magnification, and
ergonomic design, significantly enhancing diagnostic capabilities.
- Svitlana Dyachuk, a
dermatologist, noted that she uses this equipment in her clinic and is highly
satisfied with its performance.
- Solomiya Chepka, a
dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, shared that she won the ILLUCO
dermatoscope from Loran two years ago at a dermatoscopy congress and now
actively uses it in her practice.
- Valentyna Sechalko, a
dermatologist, added: “The image quality with the ILLUCO dermatoscope is
outstanding. It’s an excellent tool for melanoma prevention.”
- Viktoriia Cherniavska,
a dermatovenereologist, also reported using the polarized ILLUCO IDS-1100

Other Dermatological Equipment
The conference also
showcased Firefly digital dermatoscopes and Aram Huvis trichoscopes. Their
high-resolution imaging, digital processing, and detailed analysis capabilities
make them indispensable in modern dermatological practice.
A 980 nm wavelength diode laser was also demonstrated, which is effectively used for the removal of
benign lesions and vascular abnormalities. Physicians noted that this technique
is minimally invasive and supports rapid healing.
Cryopro cryosurgical devices also drew attention. These units allow for painless and effective
removal of skin lesions using low temperatures.
The use of modern
dermatological equipment is not just a matter of convenience for the doctor –
it is primarily about ensuring patient safety and diagnostic quality.
High-precision diagnostics and effective treatment of skin conditions
significantly improve the quality of care and patient trust.
