On March 27-28, the "Modern Trauma Surgery: Challenges and Solutions" conference took place in Vinnytsia, with Loran Group as an official partner. The event brought together leading surgeons, traumatologists, and medical experts from across Ukraine to discuss the latest trauma treatment techniques and modern approaches to surgical practice.
At the exhibition section of the conference, we showcased medical equipment that is already being actively used in Ukraine’s top clinics and hospitals. Our display featured endoscopic towers, surgical lights, endoscopic video cameras, a wide range of surgical instruments, and other essential equipment for efficient operating room performance.
As part of the event, Loran Group introduced the innovative PLA-800 plasma surgical system for orthopedic procedures. This advanced device generates plasma using 100 kHz radiofrequency energy in a saline environment. What makes this technology unique is its ability to break down cellular structures at the molecular level through the kinetic energy of charged particles, enabling precise and effective tissue removal at low temperatures ranging from 40 to 70°C.
The PLA-800 offers a minimally invasive approach that significantly reduces the risk of thermal damage to surrounding tissues, minimizes postoperative pain, and supports faster patient recovery. Its high precision and non-adhesive nature make it especially effective in arthroscopic surgeries on both large and small joints — including the knee, shoulder, hip, wrist, elbow, and ankle.
Clinically, the system supports procedures such as resection, debridement, tissue ablation of the meniscus, cartilage, tendons, and synovial membrane. The bipolar design of the electrodes enhances surgical safety by reducing the risk of damage to peripheral structures. All these features make the PLA-800 a powerful tool in the modern orthopedic surgeon's arsenal.
