Loran Group took part in the 6th SUO Congress “Ophthalmic Light. Ophthalmic Surgery in Ukraine 2025” – an event that brings together leading ophthalmologists, surgeons and industry experts. It is an excellent platform for sharing experience, presenting new technologies and discussing innovations in ophthalmic surgery.
For our company, participation in the event became an opportunity to showcase modern ophthalmic solutions that help doctors work more precisely, safely and efficiently.

Presentation of the new product: low-temperature plasma system for ophthalmology
The central element of the Loran Group stand was the PLA-700A plasma surgical system – a technology that opens new possibilities in treating ocular surface pathologies and ophthalmic tumors.
Unlike traditional electrosurgery, which operates by heating tissues to over 100°C, PLA-700A generates an ultrathin plasma layer at 25-28°C. This allows for precise resection and ablation with minimal trauma.
Advantages of PLA-700A highlighted by ophthalmic surgeons:
- controlled ablation depth of 50-100 μm;
- reduced risk of recurrence due to delicate removal of pathological tissues;
- practically bloodless surgical field;
- no thermal impact on healthy ocular structures;
- convenient intelligent PLA405 probe, combining irrigation, aspiration, resection and hemostasis in one instrument.
This solution attracted significant attention from surgeons looking for a modern alternative to electrosurgery for delicate ophthalmic procedures.
Modern ophthalmoscopes: from classic to digital technologies
The Loran Group stand featured a full range of ophthalmoscopic diagnostic instruments – for daily clinical work, telemedicine and mobile consultations.
Binocular ophthalmoscope Zumax BM800. A device combining comfortable wear with stable image quality. The TrueTone LED provides up to 50,000 hours of operation and excellent color rendering – an important parameter for retinal examination and pathology detection.
Digital video ophthalmoscope Firefly DE400. A portable solution for capturing photos and videos in real time. The device provides highly detailed imaging, supports electronic patient records, allows results to be displayed on a monitor and is suitable for telemedicine applications.
Coaxial ophthalmoscopes Zumax DM6C and DM6D. Devices featuring multiple diaphragms, filters and optical modes, allowing examination to be adapted to various clinical tasks. They are equipped with LED or halogen illumination and designed for highly accurate assessment of internal ocular structures.
Radiofrequency coagulator Kentamed RF100. Another direction is the Kentamed RF100 radiofrequency coagulator, operating at 4 MHz, providing clean cutting, gentle coagulation and minimal thermal effect. The device has proven effective not only in ophthalmology, but also in dermatology, ENT practice and ambulatory surgery. It features microprocessor control, a safety system and six operating modes.
