Sterilization of medical devices sensitive to high temperatures and moisture requires technologies that ensure effective processing without the risk of damaging instruments. One such solution is low-temperature plasma sterilization. This is the type of equipment – a 100 L sterilizer – that Loran Group supplied to a medical facility in Boryspil.
Modern low-temperature sterilization technology
The sterilizer uses hydrogen peroxide-based gas plasma technology. Plasma is generated directly inside the sterilization chamber, which contributes to effective processing of medical devices and the removal of residual hydrogen peroxide. The only by-products of the process are water vapor and oxygen.
The equipment is suitable for most heat- and moisture-sensitive surgical instruments made of metal, plastic, and rubber. Short sterilization cycles help reduce processing time and return instruments to use more quickly.
Functionality and design features
The sterilizer is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen for convenient process control. The use of aluminum in the construction contributes to more uniform heat distribution within the chamber and helps maintain plasma stability during sterilization.
All subsystems are controlled by a central processor and operate independently of one another. The modular design simplifies maintenance and replacement of individual components.
Removable shelves allow for efficient use of the chamber's internal space and enable products of different sizes to be placed in the same cycle.
Key specifications of the sterilizer
• chamber operating temperature: 35-55°C
• data recording: up to 10,000 cycles
• short cycle: 23 min
• standard cycle: 46 min
