Flexible endoscopy – equipment for diagnostics in complex anatomical areas

Flexible endoscopy enables visualization of anatomical structures in areas where access is limited for rigid instruments. The controlled deflection of the distal tip allows the endoscope to navigate physiological curves and perform diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures under visual guidance.

Flexible endoscopes are used in urology, otorhinolaryngology, pulmonology, gynecology, and interventional diagnostics.

Video endoscopes and specialized systems are available for various clinical applications:

• HugeMed flexible ureterorenoscopes – used for retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and endoscopic treatment of urolithiasis. External diameters of 9 Fr, 7.5 Fr, and 6.3 Fr (the only ones available in Ukraine) allow the devices to be used both in standard clinical cases and in anatomically narrow conditions, including pediatric procedures.

• HugeMed flexible cystoscopes – used for diagnosing bladder pathologies, assessing the condition of the mucosa, detecting neoplasms, and performing minimally invasive procedures.

• Flexible nasopharyngoscopes (HugeMed, Optomic, Besdata) – used to examine the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, larynx, and vocal folds, including functional assessment of structural mobility.

• HugeMed flexible bronchoscope – provides access to the tracheobronchial tree for diagnostics, airway clearance, biopsy, and assessment of the respiratory tract mucosa.

• HugeMed flexible hysteroscope – used for visualization of the uterine cavity, assessment of the endometrium, and performance of intrauterine procedures.

• HugeMed flexible cholangioscope – used for direct visualization of the bile ducts during endoscopic procedures. It enables targeted diagnosis of strictures, calculi, and neoplasms, as well as biopsy, lithotripsy, and other interventional procedures under visual guidance.

The range includes both reusable flexible endoscopes and limited-use endoscopes, allowing medical facilities to optimize costs and organize infection control according to their workflow.
